-Edward Elric-
My name is: Ginny, but feel free to call me Ed, or ma’am, I’m good with that.
I am Intermediate.

-The Basics-
Name: Edward Elric
Nickname/Alias:: The 'Fullmetal Alchemist', or Ed.
-Age: 17
-Gender: Male
-Occupation: State Alchemist, currently out of commission.
-Human/Non : Human

-Weight:140 lbs
-Distinctions(i.e. scars, moles, missing limbs…): Missing left leg and right arm, replaced with automail.
- Character Appearance; Edward stands at about 5’3 weighing in at about 140 pounds, the automail making him heavy for his height. He is rather slim about the waist with a wide chest and shoulders, making for a sort of strong, stocky build. Currently, he sports the automail Hohenheim made; not nearly as good as what he was wearing in Amestris, but decent enough to get the job done, when he returns to Amestris he will be bereft of any automail whatsoever. Edward’s hair is long and golden, kept in high ponytail out of the way, defying the short, slick look of the period. His eyes are large and also golden, more like a cat’s than a human’s a pleasant compliment to deeply tanned skin from years wandering deserts. He usually dons an ivory button down shirt with arm bands and a tan vest over khaki coloured slacks.

MILK
-Weaknesses: Killing – Though he has managed, now on multiple occasions, if it’s at all avoidable Edward does not like to kill.
Anger – Sometimes, though he knows its wrong, Edward allows his anger to get in the way of doing what’s right.
Compassion – Edward feels a great sense of duty to other humans and it often gets in the way of his better judgment.
Alphonse – Ed has always put his little brother first and occasionally puts himself and others in harm’s way unnecessarily because of it.
-Strengths: ]: Strength – Edward, though small, is a very strong man and he uses it when necessary.
Intelligence – Not always the most practical, but Edward definitely has the brains to back himself up.
Compassion – While it can be a terrible weakness, it also makes him a much better person and sometimes helps him make proper decisions.
-Personality: Edward’s personality is often conflicting; his moods swing more than a pregnant woman’s. Ed is still a child at heart. He's quick to attack whenever anyone comments on his height inclinations. He frequently has fits of rage in these instances which usually result in one party or another being restrained, that party spoken of being mostly Ed himself. Ed is wise far beyond his years, even for the trauma he’s been through but more often than not he’s too emotional to put any of his acquired wisdom to use, which make for an interesting mental standing. Edward is immensely violent, though his morals are strong, and he is compassionate about them in every sense of the word.
Ed tries not to let anything hold him back except where his little brother is concerned. He feels guilty about the situation he’d led them into as children and because of it is protective to a fault. There is nothing in the world apart from –maybe- the value of human life in general that is more important to Ed than his brother and it is a failing of his.
-History-
-Current Town: Central
-Parents: Trisha and Hohenheim Elric
-Siblings : Alphonse Elric
-Other Family: Winry and Pinako Rockbell
-Full History: ]: Edward Elric's story began in February 1910, when he and Alphonse Elric , his younger brother, attempted to resurrect their dead mother by a forbidden act of alchemy: human transmutation. Unfortunately the attempt backfired, resulting in Alphonse losing his body and Ed his left leg, as well as bringing to life an inhuman monster. In order to save Al's soul, Ed sacrificed his right arm to bind Al's soul to a nearby suit of armor using knowledge he attained from this glimpse into the Gate [of Truth]. Unbeknownst to Ed at the time, he also gains the rare ability to perform transmutations without a circle.
In order to regain what they had lost, Ed and Al decided to search for the legendary Philosopher's Stone. To gain access to the vast amount of research and information on alchemy available only to State Alchemists, Ed and Al decided to take the notoriously difficult State Alchemist’s entrance exam. They stayed for a year in Central with Shou Tucker, the Sewing Life Alchemist, while studying for the exam.
After passing the alchemy exam, Edward and Alphonse set out to look for the Philosopher's Stone. Since the Stone allows the owner to bypass the laws of equivalent exchange, Ed and Al believed that locating the stone would enable them to regain what they have lost in their failed attempt to resurrect their mother. In an effort to help the Elric Brothers in this quest, Mustang issued orders to Edward to conduct an alchemic investigation into the Philosophers Stone, allowing Ed to use his position in the military to legitimately search for the stone without raising suspicion among other officers in the military.
Their search, though, remained ineffective, after searching for some time they had found the answer was buried in the sacrifice of human lives. Unwilling to use this method the brothers looked for other answers, along the way figuring out a deep plot veining through the group of Homunculi that roamed their country. Their part in his life led him eventually, once again to the town of Lior, his first militant assignment. Where, the State Alchemist assassin was planning on using a military attack on the town to create his own philosopher’s stone. The attempt this time is successful, only Ed’s brother ends up being the result, leading to his kidnapping by Dante and the homunculi.
Not long after, in his own desperate attempt to save Alphonse from being used as the philosopher’s stone Edward ended up being killed by the homunculus Envy in a duel for situation dominance. He ended up in a strange place called London, where he once more met his father Hohenhiem who explains what he can of the parallel between Edward’s world and our early 1900’s world. The Edward’s body he was trapped in during this time is killed in a zeppelin crash, allowing his soul to be returned to Amestris when Alphonse uses the stone to resurrect him. As another switch he ends up sacrificing himself once more to bring Alphonse back, both soul and body, the effort leaving him trapped in a country from the parallel world called Germany.

Edward nearly slammed face-first into the school’s door in his hurry. A half-eaten piece of toast, the only semblance of breakfast he’d had time for dangled precariously from his mouth and as he halted abruptly it tumbled to the ground. Edward scowled, wished some bird a happier breakfast than his own, and pushed his way through the door. Around him, students were already filing into class rooms, most of them almost as loaded with books as he was and chatting merrily. He smirked bitterly; he’d woken late, missed orientation, and was now standing, completely and utterly lost, in bizarre surroundings.
Calm down, he told himself, as he had on god-knows how many occasions over the past few months. By this point, you should be used to unfamiliar surroundings. Boy, wasn’t that the truth. The school should seem a small ordeal in comparison to an absolutely new world. Yet, still, he stood still, staring uselessly at the students around him already making their ways to the classrooms. Carefully, Ed hefted his mountain of texts beneath his right arm and reached into his pocket with the left, removing a crumpled sheet of paper scrawled with his hellish handwriting. It was his class list, days and times, of course, in this instance it did him little good considering he hadn’t a clue where any of these classes were.
Across campus, a deep bell tolled loudly; the first warning for students to be headed to their proper classes. Sighing, Ed memorized the name and teacher of his first morning class, shoved the paper back into his pocket and stepped forward. He supposed he had to ask someone, anyone really. After a quick scan of the lobby he reached to tap the shoulder of the boy almost directly in front of him. He was in the middle of shifting his books to the other hand when the boy turned around.
Edward froze. Inside his chest, his heart skipped a beat, hell it stopped for a few uncountable moments. His mouth opened but no sound came out and it was as if he was staring into the icy blue eyes of a ghost. He hadn’t seen that face in five years…not since that night. It was different somehow, different eyes, and he had grown up but Edward knew if his brother hadn’t lost his body, this is exactly what he would look like at fifteen. Tall, broad shouldered, wide eyed and so damned familiar he was almost alien.
“Alphonse…” Edward whispered more to himself than the stranger and he didn’t even realize that his text books had fallen from his numb, lifeless fingers until the crash resonated in the entrance hall.
